Move Up Night
Move Up Night will take place on the evening of Thursday, May 25. You will have a chance to meet with the teachers in your child(ren)’s grade next year, as well as the specialty teachers and special education team. During the three sessions, you will have a unique opportunity to get a preview of the school year to come. Each session will consist of a half hour presentation with a Q & A at the end, followed by a 15 minute gallery walk through the classrooms showcasing the sort of work your child(ren) will do next year. The teachers will be providing useful information about the upcoming school year and how to prepare your child throughout the summer. To complement the evening, the PTA and School Leadership Team will be hosting a Parent Leader/Volunteer Information Fair in the Cafe between 4:15-7:30pm where potential new volunteers/parent leaders can meet with members of the current PTA Executive Board, Committee Chairs and SLT to learn about opportunities to participate in the upcoming school year. Move Up Night is for parents/guardians only and babysitting will be available for MNS students currently attending K-5 at PS290 (no siblings please) at a cost of $5 per child.
