Ambreen Satia, a 2nd and 3rd grade teaching assistant at MNS, is collecting coats for the New York Cares Annual Coat Drive. Accepted are men's, women's and children's coats in good condition. Please donate coats you don't need or want any more as there are many people in the city who cannot afford to buy one. You may give them to Parent Coordinator Sally Mason outside the school in the morning or sign in and drop them off in the designated box in the Café after 8:45 am. Thank you so very much for your support. It is truly appreciated! ~With gratitude, Ambreen Satia Help a fellow NYC school for the holidays: The Helping Hands Committee was in touch with P369K at PS 67 about helping them with their Winter Wonderland event. This is a time when the entire school comes together to celebrate the holidays with fun activities and toy giving. P369K is a District 75 School, serving the needs of students with severe learning, emotional and autism spectrum disorders. All of their students come from highcrime/low-income homes and do not have a lot during the holiday season. A toy donation would spark excitement in their student’s eyes and help them appreciate all they have to be thankful for during this holiday time. Your donation to P369K at P67K is tax deductible, as it is a government organization. For more information, you can call the Fund for Public Schools at (212) 374-2874. On our suggestion, the school created an Amazon wish list. It is filled with modest items like winter hats and inexpensive toys - please take a moment to donate.
