The primary mission of the Fest with Zest is to raise funds for the school’s PTA. Secondarily, our goal is to raise awareness of the school within the local community. We accomplish the primary mission by selling tickets to the various activities (e.g., arts and crafts, inflatable rides, etc.) that we have available to the children and adults, as well as by selling vendor exhibition space on the street.
Members of the committee are responsible for organizing, managing and doing any and all aspects of the event, from vendor solicitation to set-up, from hanging promotional posters to manning the ticket booth on the day of the event. Anyone who volunteers must be willing to do most anything to further the mission and to make the event a success.
We are looking for people with a “can-do” spirit who are well organized, detailed, and punctual and have sense for numbers, as it relates to our trying to minimize expenses and maximize profit.
The 2017 Fest with Zest surpassed all expectations with respect to earnings and attendance, as we tried a number of new and different activities and revenue generators. Our goal for next year is to top what was done this year. Please join us if you believe you can help make that happen.
